Turning courses, from discovery to improvement

The courses focus on learning how to shoot, from discovery to in-depth study.
Description
A turner (or apprentice turner) can easily be compared to a pianist who practises his scales and spends many hours mastering his score. You need patience, perseverance and self-sacrifice to master the gestures and understand the clay.
With kindness and patience, I will guide you along this path.

My career began in 2010, with my hands in the soil of my gardens. By a happy coincidence, a discussion on a summer's evening and a mad desire to listen to my heart, I started a series of training courses at the CNIFOP (Centre international aux métiers d'arts et de la céramique) in Saint Amand en Puisaye (58).
This encounter with modelling clay was overwhelming, and at the same time obvious to me. The learning process went smoothly and an intimate relationship developed between me and stoneware.
Over the years of practice, a sensitive bond was created and it is this approach that I am keen to share with you: understanding the clay, getting to know it to guide it towards a common object.
I perfected my technical knowledge by taking the céramistes créateurs course in 2015, again at the CNIFOP.
I regularly take part in short courses and training courses to develop particular technical points or different approaches to the material, such as the ‘Accompagnant terre’ course run by art therapist Sévrine Thomas or the ‘Cuisson écologique’ course in the Girel kiln run by Thomas Richardot.
I also like to challenge myself by taking part in the French throwing championships in 2023 and 2024, organised by the Potiers Méditerranée association and Stéphane Montalto, Meilleur Ouvrier de France. I'm delighted to have won first prize on my second appearance, and my aim is to take up the challenge every year, with the added incentive of taking part in the World Turning Championships in the near future!
